Have you always wished you could play piano but think it is too late? Think again!
Did you once take piano lessons but have forgotten what you learned (and wish to start again)? You can!
Come join the ARC’s Recreational Music Making (RMM) class in piano. Beginner weekly classes taught by Susan Lipnick.
What is RMM?
RMM classes provide a supportive group environment in which to explore the basics of piano playing and music reading. The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment, and the limited class size (four students) allows for a good balance of learning, support, and social time. No prior piano experience or talent is necessary, just a desire to learn the basics of keyboard or piano playing. A piano or keyboard at home is helpful for between-lesson practicing but not required. Solo playing during or between classes is always voluntary, and there
are no recitals!
About Susan Lipnick
A Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in piano, Susan is recognized by colleagues and students as being an exceptional musician and teacher. She runs her own piano studio in the Galena area and freelances as an accompanist for singers and instrumentalists. Susan has a Master’s degree in piano pedagogy. She currently serves as Teacher Certification Chair of the Illinois State Music Teachers Association and is also a clinician for independent music teachers in Illinois.
